New CNBC op-ed on the risks of Russian cyber-retaliation

By

Today CNBC published an op-ed co-authored by HSPI Director Frank Cilluffo and me entitled “US needs to be prepared for Russian cyber-retaliation”.

The article speaks to the nexus of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, sanctions, and US cybersecurity.  More specifically, the piece discusses possibility of Russian cyber-retaliation against the US energy and banking sectors (as Russia has done in the past).  With the tightening of the screws through the latest round of US and EU sanctions against Russian banks and energy companies, the need for US executives in these areas to take this potential threat seriously becomes all the more important.
