Event next Monday on Estonia’s new cybersecurity strategy

Next Monday, October 20th, the GW Cybersecurity Initiative, in partnership with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, will convene a forum to launch and discuss Estonia’s new cybersecurity strategy. The discussion will feature senior Estonian officials, including Estonia’s Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Eerik Marmei. You can register for the event here.

An innovator and leader in the cyber domain, Estonia has taken a proactive stance and built a secure digital society (e-Estonia) that offers much for other nation-states to consider. Our speakers will discuss the country’s newest cybersecurity initiatives and lessons learned, including in the areas of critical infrastructure protection and cyber crisis management. The conversation will span civilian, military, and EU-wide dimensions of the cyber challenge.

As background and context for the discussion see “Estonians Embrace Life in a Digital World”, “Lessons from the World’s Most Tech-Savvy Government”, and this article on the country’s plans for “digital data embassies.”

We hope that you can join us for the event.
